Nortek products are covered by a two-year warranty starting on the purchase date unless otherwise stated on the box and on the warranty certificate that comes with the product.
If your product is damaged during the warranty period (the receipt or purchase invoice shall be proof of purchase), you can request a repair or replacement (if contemplated for that model) directly at the retailer where you purchased the product.
The warranty becomes NULL AND VOID if:
- you used or transported the product improperly or with negligence or without observing the installation or use instructions;
- the product has been tampered with;
- the damages are due to electrical problems not directly attributable to the product;
- the damages are of an aesthetic nature;
- the cause of the defect is not attributable to a manufacturing flaw;
- the damages are due to a problem of interference generated by nearness to other electrical devices;
- the cause of the defect is traceable to bad maintenance of the single components or expendable materials;
- the damages are related to wear and tear of the mechanical parts;
- the product is without its original packaging, manuals, diskettes or other accessories normally supplied with it.
Nortek Spa shall not be liable for economic losses, damages
caused, data or software lost or the costs of reconfiguring the
machine on which the peripheral is installed. The present warranty
does not compromise your legal rights.
In accordance with the provisions of law in force, NORTEK SPA and its suppliers
do not respond in cases of 1) damages, loss or internal destruction of records,
programs, data or supports of removable files, and 2) damages (including direct
and indirect damages, the loss of operating profit, missed earnings and other
particular accessory and consequent damages that go beyond the damages caused
by breach of the warranty, the agreement and/or the objective liability due
to unlawful actions or other causes) resulting from the use or impossibility
to use the products and/or enclosed printed matter (including the manuals and
current safety warnings). The above statements also apply when NORTEK SPA,
its suppliers, authorized representatives, service providers or retailers have
been informed of the eventuality of said damages or have received claims from
third parties in this regard. In any case, all liabilities not excluded by
NORTEK SPA or its suppliers are limited to the purchase price of the product.
Nortek spa reserves the faculty to modify or terminate this program at any
time without notice.
This warranty does not apply to power supply unit or batteries, if supplied
with the package, or lamps (for scanners).
Nortek Spa certifies that products distributed with the NORTEK trademark conform
to the following European Directives:
89/336/CE of 3 May 1989 relative to electromagnetic compatibility
73/23/CE of 19 February 1973 relative to safety
